Subbu and Kayo planned a very detailed three-day wedding weekend to honor both the American and Indian culture. They describe their wedding day as natural, elegant and simple.
Subbu and Kayo celebrated a sunrise Indian ceremony of a specific South Indian wedding style called “Telugu Brahmin” Wedding. This special day didn’t just bind Subbu and Kayo, but also their two families into a union. It is customary for the marriage to be performed at the bride’s house. Kayo’s home was enveloped with color, flowers, friends and family. Subbu and Kayo exchanged garlands, followed by a cleansing ceremony to ensure that no evil spirits were lurking. Rice was thrown and the couple held hands for the first time as the marriage took place.
Thank you for letting me celebrate and capture such an amazing weekend with you! It was an honor to get to know you both and your families!
